Didnt take long for one of these to show up at an insurance auction. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Damage seems pretty minimal to be honest.

The problem is that sourcing parts would be annoying, since you’d need them imported.

Or just as equally there is probably a lot of value if you were to part it out.

This is far from the first one. A blue GTR was up a few months ago

Based on the damage I’m seeing here, I think we can assume that if you import a skyline and take it to insurance for much more than a door ding, it will be totaled.

Came here for that.

It still is. Though it’s in rough shape, it was only a theft.

Not the same one I’m thinking of. This one was a very bad rear end accident.

Oh, yikes. Because of how weirdly IAAI lists the models (for instance, the Mazda MPV can only be searched as the Mazda Wagon), it may be hard to find other JDM cars that have been crashed.

Yeah, typical insurance companies and body shops won’t know what the hell to do with it. Just throw your hands up, total it, and cut the owner a check.
I’m assuming someone like Hagerty would be less likely to write it off with that sort of damage, but who knows, maybe that’s what the owner had.

I don’t know what format JDM(yo) VINs are in, but it’s quite possible they’re much shorter and this one was issued upon importation?
